Mercury
Mercury (Budha) is the prince of the planetary cabinet, representing intellect, communication, commerce, and adaptability. He rules Gemini (Mithuna) and Virgo (Kanya), and is exalted in Virgo. Mercury is the planet of reasoning, learning, and trade.
No retrograde in the next year.
Budha is the son of the Moon (Chandra) and Tara, the wife of Brihaspati (Jupiter). This illicit union caused a great war among the gods. Budha was born from this union and is regarded as the wisest of planets despite his parentage. He is identified with the deity Vishnu in some texts.
Mercury governs intelligence, speech, education, business acumen, and nervous system function. A strong Mercury gives sharp intellect, eloquence, and commercial success. A weak or afflicted Mercury can cause communication difficulties, nervous disorders, indecision, or learning challenges.
